What happens to my file?
This tool needs our servers. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed in an isolated folder, and deleted automatically within one hour. It is never shared or used for anything else.
Do the pages become pictures?
No. Text and vector graphics stay text and vectors, so the PDF stays sharp at any zoom, searchable and usually no larger. Only photos are converted, and JPEG photos stay JPEG.
How are colours turned into gray?
By their brightness, using the same weights printers and TV standards use (30% red, 59% green, 11% blue), so dark colours stay dark and light colours stay light.
Will it make my file smaller?
Often a little, because gray photos need one channel instead of three. To shrink a file a lot, use Compress PDF with the Strong level.
Is it free?
Yes, with a daily allowance. Paid plans raise the limits and file sizes.
